LendTrade specializes in helping financial institutions buy or sell non-agency residential mortgage loan portfolios. LendTrade has facilitated whole loan trades, mortgage securitizations and residual trades. Our correspondent network has produced in excess of $1 billion of whole loan trades. The loans underlying these transactions primarily consisted of 100% CLTV closed-end second mortgages and home equity lines of credit. LendTrade has also been involved in trading and managing home equity assets with original CLTVs in excess of 100% (up to 125%).

Steven Schipper, CFA,
Managing Director

LendTrade was founded by Steven Schipper in April of 2000. Steve has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has spent the past 15 years focusing on trading home equity assets. He has a finance degree from the University of Iowa, an MBA from Drake University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Steve has spoken at industry trade shows regarding mortgage securitization and servicing of non-agency residential mortgages.

Prior to forming LendTrade, Schipper was vice president of structured finance with AmerUs Capital Management (now Aviva Investors). Schipper was responsible for buying, selling and servicing oversight for home equity portfolios consisting of 100% CLTV second mortgages. Additionally, Steve was responsible for closing home equity securitizations and subsequent master servicing responsibilities. He also developed financial models to value and stress test home equity portfolios and securitizations.

Heather Bakker, Operations Manager

Heather joined LendTrade in May 2005. Her responsibilities include assisting with managing account relationships, as well as accounting and operations for LendTrade. Prior to joining LendTrade, Heather gained numerous years of accounting and operations experience while working for a variety of mortgage and insurance companies. Heather holds an associates degree in business administration from the American Institute of Business.
